1st PARKMORE Scout Troop

We are The 1st Parkmore Scout Group situated in Parkmore, a suburb of Sandton which is part of Metropolitan Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. Our Group was registered in June 1967. We currently number 11 Scouts and 2 Troop Scouters. We have two Patrols. BUT!!! "WE ARE GROWING"
Our brother Group Parkmore Cubs also meets at our HQ.
Our sister Groups the Parkmore Brownies, Parkmore Guides , Parkmore Rangers also meet at our HQ.
Our Scarf is green with a Red Fraser Tartan ribbon edging. This is because 1st Parkmore Troop amalgamated with Benmore Troop in 1980 and Benmore wore the Fraser Tartan Scarf in honour of a Mr Fraser who allowed them to use his premises as an HQ. Mr Fraser was a Scotsman and The Red Fraser Tartan was his Clan's Tartan.
